How can a place so dry have so many mosquitoes?

This may not be a big deal to some, but bought a new coffee mug this week. It is from the “Green Beans Coffee Worldcafe” “Green Beans” has become a staple to deployment life–it is nice to have a memento.  I did have to travel two hours in a convoy to get it, however.

Looking at all of the exercise magazines for the proper diet is foolish out here. Who eats that stuff anyway? Oh, and is it just me that finds protein shakes disgusting?

One of the things that I look forward to when I get home is wearing my own clothes. I am proud of the unifrom–don’t get me wrong. But, I would love to run in something other than Gray and Black. I’m looking forward to nice T-shirts and shorts for running.

I downloaded the book “Twilight” on my Sony eBook Reader this week. I will have to tell you about it when finish.

I look forward to hearing your review of Twilight. I read it while I was in Germany in March – mostly b/c all the teens are talking about it and I do love a good book (I read anything I can get my hands on). I have mixed feelings about it. It was well written and an easy page-turner, but I can also see why so many people are obsessed with main characters – and that can quickly become an unhealthy attraction.
Anyway – looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
