HOOAH! Bars
I always asked myself…”Who eats those things?” These HOOAH! energy bars seem somewhat terrible when you first bite into them. They are kind of like the 1980s MREs one gives to 3rd graders; who eat them because they are “cool”, not because you actually like them. And, of course, that’s how I started eating HOOAH! Bars. I was at CHOBC (Chaplain Officer Basic Curse) last year and we were planning to go on a road march. Somebody, somewhere convinced me that energy bars were the way to go to keep you fueled. I remembered how a road march can take the energy out of you, so I stopped by the Commissary and bought some energy bars–for $150 a piece…what’s up with that? I ate my “cool” energy bar halfway through the road march. Then, I ate one the next road march–soon I got used to the taste. I guess they are like coffee…they have an acquired taste.So, here I am in the middle of the afternoon about to eat a HOOAH! bar. Chocolate. (APPLE and Cinnamon is nasty, I don’t care what the other kids say.)
