Ear Phones

by Chaplain Andrews on October 30, 2008

Last week, I talked about batteries.  This week, another item for your care package is earphones.

Typically, an adequate pair can be bought at any Wal-Mart or PX…but they make all the difference.

As I have have menitioned before, the dessert isn’t place of privacy.  It is a place of constant population.  People are always around.

There is always somebody nearby.

There is always a noise.

There is always somebody…right around the corner.

But, the iPod (or mp3 player) creates a bubble of privacy.  It is here that you can listen to what ever you want…whatever preference that you have.  Saying that, understans that these iPods go through a beating.  The earphones get dirty and worn, sometimes not to be replace until they fall apart.

Take this next opportunity to send a care package to include a pair of earphones.  They don’t have to be expensive, but they will feel like a million bucks!
