Chaplain (CPT) Keith J. Andrews assumed his current duties as the 40th Engineer Battalion Chaplain, Baumholder, Germany in July 2007.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Lander University, Greenwood, SC and a Masters in Divinity Degree in Evangelism, Church Growth, and World Missions from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY.
In May 1992, Chaplain Andrews was Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. Chaplain Andrews was a Field Artillery Officer in Kentucky and South Carolina Army National Guard units until August 2000. Some of his assignments included Battery Commander, Detachment Commander, and Platoon Leader.
In 2004, he was endorsed as a Chaplain by the Southern Baptist Convention and appointed as an U.S. Army Chaplain. Chaplain Andrews previous active duty assignment was the Battalion Chaplain of the 1-101 Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, KY.
Chaplain Andrews’ military education includes the U.S. Army Chaplain Basic Course, U.S. Army Field Artillery Officer Basic Course and U.S. Army Field Artillery Officer Advanced Course.
Chaplain Andrews’ awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
Chaplain Andrews is married to the former Monica Baylor of Andrews, South Carolina and they have three children.
